Today I’m going to try something new. I’m going to start writing blogposts in English.
I‘ve been inspired by travellers from all over the world and I would like to share my own experiences with others. Therefor, I think it makes sense to write in a language most travellers can understand.

It does feel a bit weird though. I am used to writing in my native language, which is Dutch, and although English has always been my favourite foreign language, I’m not sure I will be able to express myself correctly – or in correct English. Most of my posts on Instagram are in English, I’ve been writing letters to a friend in America and sometimes I catch myself thinking in English, but it’s not the same as putting your writing on a page and sending it off to the World Wide Web for everyone to spell check.

Anyway, it’s a challenge I’m happy to take on. Feel free to comment.
